Best Buy partnered with the agency, ilovedust, to create a netpunk look for their Gen Z target audience. Our job was to bring the style guide to life by creating channel executions of the new style for the Back-to-School campaign. For digital display we were thoughtful about how and where we were using design elements since we were working in such a small space. We used pattern, color and icons, along with micro animations within the design carefully so that the key message would still be the focus for the guest experience.

Below are a couple of different digital display campaigns put together for Best Buy Holiday 2020. This was one of the more simplistic treatments as far as graphical elements go. We used the holiday sparkle element to help lead the guests eye through the contents of the digital ads.

These two digital display campaigns were from Best Buy Holiday 2022. As the Art Director on digital display, I would create the initial concepts for the presentation deck which consisted of a banner timeline example for the 300x250 pixel unit, a 300x50 mobile unit, a "Skin" (pictured below left), a 728x90 companion unit, native units with copy as well as Radio copy options provided by the copywriter.

Once our clients give the final approvals after all reviews and revisions were handled, we would have a production kick-off and our production team would create all of the additional units from the approved concept deck. I would then review the production teams design deck, leaving constructive feedback where necessary until the revised designs were approved and ready to send to the client for approvals.
